Drummed Up is a community West African drumming group based in the north east of England. We have played West African rhythms since 2002 and performed at venues across the north east. We are one of the ‘Bands on the Run’ for the Great North Run, playing outside Gateshead Stadium.
Drummed Up are drummers who go to Mark Barfoot’s West African drumming workshops, and is led by Mark. We bring the rhythms we learn out to the public to make people smile and dance!
